The Republic Computer Center of the Department of Statistics was established in 1968. It was partially privatized and reorganized in 1995 to become AB "Informacinio verslo paslaugų įmonė". At present 51% of the company shares are owned by the state, and the remaining 49% of the shares are owned by private persons.

For many years the company has been engaging in computerized processing of economic information, development of software and printing works. The company administers payments for public utilities and communications services made by the residents of the Republic of Lithuania. For that purpose the company has signed general agreements with service providers (AB Rytų skirstomieji tinklai Vilniaus regionas, regional offices of UAB Vilniaus energija, regional branches of AB "Lietuvos dujos", public utilities departments of the boards of cities of the Republic, UAB "Vilniaus vandenys", and residential houses associations) and payment collectors (banks: "Hansabankas", DnB NORD bankas, Ūkio bankas, SEB bankas, Parex, "Snoras", SAMPO, Vilnius branch of Šiaulių bankas, and State Enterprise Lietuvos paštas.)

Furthermore, AB "Informacinio verslo paslaugų įmonė", provides services to the Department of Statistics, cable television companies, centralized accounting departments of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health, etc.
